Wilma Jean Finney
Wilma Jean Finney, 83, of Chattanooga went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 19, 2024.
She was born March 31, 1941, to Felix and Nora Burke in Chattanooga. She lived most of her life in Chattanooga but also lived in California, Ohio, and Florida. She graduated from Kirkman High School and attended Edmond Business College. She worked in Secretarial and Caregiving.
She was of the Church of God faith and Wilma loved writing poetry, listening to Classic Country Music, having good conversations with people, and loved her family and children. She will forever be remembered for her forgiving and amazing spirit.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Finney, parents, Felix and Nora Burke, sons Johnny Clift, Jr., and Christopher Clift, daughter-in-law, Angie Clift and grandson, Corey Clift and brother Jerry Burke.
Those left to cherish her memory are daughter, Regina (Robert) Dees, Son, Russell (Patty) Hobby, grandchildren, Wayne Hobby, Jacob Hobby, Zachary Hobby and Amber Jackman, brother, Johnny (Janice) Burke, sisters Joyce Wyrick, Gale Martin and Wanda Pope and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Chattanooga for the compassion, love and care and Spring Creek Church of God for their love shown to the family.

A chapel service will be held at 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 23, 2024. Interment will follow on Monday, June 24, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 23, 2024, from 3–5 p.m.
