It is with profound sadness that we share with you, the passing of Matthew Lee Stoddard. Our beloved Matt, a husband, father, son, brother, friend, leader, mentor and so much more, was taken from us far too soon, on July 13, 2024.

Matt is survived by his wife, Carlie Stoddard; his son, Eli Stoddard; and his two daughters, Piper and Skyler Stoddard. In addition, he leaves behind his father, Steve Stoddard; mother, JoEllen Stoddard; sister, Jenny Stoddard; two brothers, Steven Stoddard, Jr. (Brooke) and Andrew Stoddard (Christa); two nieces, Paige and Vivian Stoddard; and a nephew, Hayden Bailey.

Matt was a special soul, who touched so many people’s lives. He was the true definition of a servant heart and was passionate about helping others, while treating them with respect, integrity, and compassion. Matt constantly strived to do better and be better, which was evident in every facet of his life but especially throughout his 23-year career at Lee Company. Above all else, Matt was a family man through and through; having been married to Carlie for 19 years and the last 12 of them spent loving on his children, Eli, Piper and Skyler.

The void Matt leaves behind is immense. He will be remembered fondly and missed by many.

A Celebration of Life will be on Tuesday, July 30, at 3 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home. We ask that you dress in a rainbow of colors per the request of his children.
