Lashon Schild, 86, of Hixson, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 12, 2024, in a local hospital. She was born in Chattanooga on August 30, 1937. Lashon lived a life full of love, dedication, and service to both her family and her faith.
As a devoted homemaker, Lashon lovingly raised her children, ensuring they grew up in a home filled with care and warmth. Later in life, she became affectionately known as "Ms. Fry Queen" at the McDonald's in Lakesite, where she earned a reputation for her perfectly prepared and generously filled fries. Lashon found joy in her work and continued to serve her community with a smile until she was no longer able.
Beyond her career, Lashon had a deep love for animals, especially her beloved cat, Speedy. She also had a talent for baking, creating beautiful cakes that were as much a feast for the eyes as they were for the taste buds. In her retirement, she found pleasure in the simple joys of life, spending her time solving word search puzzles.
Lashon’s love for her family, her dedication to her work, and her faith were the cornerstones of her life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Embrey Schild, Jr.
Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Joseph E. (Patricia) Schild, III and Roderick (Michele) Schild; daughter, Sydonna (Lebron) Cambron; grandson, Tristan (Amber) Sharp and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
