Michael Alan Pinckard, age 74, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024.

He was born in Bradley County, TN, on April 28, 1950, the son of Harriett Jo Delany Pinckard and the late Oscar Patterson Pinckard. Michael was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Chattanooga, TN. He shared his faith with everyone he met and spent many days witnessing to people over a cup of coffee. Michael will be dearly missed.

He graduated from East Ridge High School. Michael was a proud member of the United States Marines Corps where he earned the National Defense Service Medal. Also, he was a member of IBEW (International brotherhood of Electrical Workers) Local 175.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Frances Pinckard; two daughters, Jaime Parker (Joseph) and Stephanie Mathis (Patrick); three grandchildren, Bailey and Talmage Gentry and Levi Mathis; two brothers, Scott Pinckard (Betsy) and Dee Pinckard (Debbie); and a sister, Marcy Hall (Alan).

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, August 10, 2024, at noon at Heritage Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service hour at Heritage Funeral Home.

Graveside and interment services will be Monday, August 12, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., Chattanooga National Cemetery.
