Robert Browdy, 72, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024, at his residence.

Robert was educated in the Chattanooga Public School System. He attended Howard High School class of 1970. Robert was a member of New Piney Woods Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Browdy, Jr.; mother, Pearlie Mae Browdy; daughter, Stephanie Hammonds; sister, Helen Browdy; grandparents, Richard (Lucy) Coleman and Eddie (Gussie) Browdy.

Survivors include his son, Shannon Browdy of Memphis; daughters, Rhonda (Ricky) Halfacre of Chattanooga, and LaQuator (Bilal) Muhammad of Atlanta; grandchildren, Rikita Halfacre, Ricky Halfacre, Jr., LaRhonda Halfacre, Rodrick Halfacre, Germicheal Suggs, Darren Suggs, Ashley Hines, Hofsa Muhammad, Maymonna Muhammad, Sawvah Muhammad and Anmad Muhammad; 20 great-grandchildren; brothers, Eddie Browdy, III, Willie (Valorie) Browdy both of Chattanooga, and James Browdy of Houston; sisters, Laura Browdy Dockery, Rosa Browdy Greene both of Houston, and Elizabeth (David) Browdy-Harrison of Chattanooga.

Robert will lie in state on Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow at noon in the chapel with Brother John R. Taylor, Sr. as the eulogist.

Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.
