St. Jude School Chosen As 1st Elementary School In TN To Host The Freedom Flag And Priceless World Trade Center, Tower 1, Artifact

  • Thursday, September 12, 2024
St. Jude School commemorated Patriot's Day on Wednesday by hosting the Freedom Flag and a piece of the World Trade Center 1.

The event was organized by third-grade teacher Katlyn Darling in collaboration with the Freedom Flag Foundation.

The day's activities included presentations by TN State Senator Bo Watson, as well as participation from the UTC ROTC, Chattanooga Police Department, Chattanooga Fire Department and Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.

The public was also invited to an evening presentation.

St. Jude School will be displaying the Trade Center relic throughout the year, providing students and guests with the opportunity to touch and learn from it, with the hope that the sacrifices and lessons of 9/11 will always be remembered.
