Maeghan Jones, president and CEO of the Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Housing Development Agency by Governor Bill Lee. Ms. Jones’ will serve a four-year term on the Board.
THDA is the state government's housing finance agency and works to ensure that low- and moderate-income Tennesseans have access to safe, decent and affordable housing. The agency administers numerous programs, including home loans, down payment assistance, rental assistance, and the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program to create new opportunities for residency and homeownership, in addition to supporting private-sector development of affordable housing by issuing bonds and allocating tax credits in communities across the state.
"Safe, quality, affordable housing is crucial to maintaining economic stability," said Ms. Jones. "This is true for every person, everywhere, every day. I want to thank Governor Lee and my fellow THDA Board members for the opportunity to work more closely on this issue.”
