Terry Shawn Cofer, 58, born on July 18 1966, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on August 31, 2024, due to health problems.

He attended Orange Grove Center school, graduated and later on, became a resident there the last 14 years of his adult life. Shawn's hobbies included fishing, swimming, music and picking guitar.

He is preceded in death by his dad, Ned A. Cofer, his mother, Carol L. Cofer, his brother, Jeffrey M. Cofer, and his sister, Pamela S. Mayo.

He is survived by his brother, Ned A. Cofer, Jr., and wife, Debbie, his sister, Donna Daugherty and husband, Danny, and his brother, Brian D. Cofer and his wife, Kerry. He was an uncle to several nephews and nieces, and had numerous cousins.

A Celebration of Shawn’s Life will be held on Friday, Sept. 13, at 12:30 p.m. at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the family receiving friends prior to the service beginning at 11 a.m.

He will be laid to rest alongside his father in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
