Hamilton County EMS will host a Tennessee Critical Care Paramedic course at the ATC, presented by Life Force.
Officials said, "This advanced training opportunity brings together 20 students, including 13 of our very own HCEMS paramedics, to enhance their skills and expertise in critical care. Once completed, this will bring the number of HCEMS critical care paramedics to 39, which is the most of any dedicated 911 service in our region. With new advancements coming in the near future, critical care paramedics will be playing a very important role here at HCEMS."
The critical care course consists of more than 160 hours of combined classroom and clinical rotations.
"We are committed to providing the highest level of care for our community, and this course represents a significant step forward in that mission. Thank you to Life Force for helping us make this possible," officials said.
