Cleveland State Women Lose To Johnson University JV

This marks the third straight loss by five or less points for the Cleveland State women's basketball team. This time Cleveland State (2-7, 4-12) went to Johnson University to play their junior varsity team losing 66-61. This marks the third straight loss by five or less points for the Cougars.

This time Cleveland State (2-7, 4-12) went to Johnson University to play their junior varsity team losing 66-61.

The two met earlier in the season on November 2nd at the Pellissippi State Tip-Off tournament with a similar result where the Royals won 57-51.

Maiya Moore led the way scoring on the night for the Cougars putting in 18 points.
Mar'Nazha Houston finished with a 15 point and 12 rebound double-double. Dejanae Dennis-Cassanova and Jarnyri Maddox also scored in double figures putting in 12 points each.

Cleveland State looks to snap their skid when they return to the court on Monday hosting Southwest Tennessee (9-5, 4-5). Tip-off is scheduled for noon.
