Robert “Bob” Edward Schulz, 82, passed away on January 3, 2025, in the woods he so deeply loved. Bob’s life was a testament to the beauty of nature, the strength of family, and the call to service.

Raised in Whitewater, Wi., his adventurous spirit was evident from an early age. At 18, he met the love of his life, Ann, and their journey together began. Bob served his country with honor for eight years in the U.S. Air Force as a dental technician, where his career took him and Ann to many places before they settled in Chattanooga, Tn.. There, they built a loving home and raised their four sons. While in Chattanooga, Bob worked for the Chattanooga Times, Channel 12, and Aflac over the course of his career in sales, a profession at which he excelled, receiving numerous awards and acknowledgements.

Bob had a deep appreciation and love for the outdoors, where he found his greatest peace. Whether hiking through the woods, hunting arrowheads, fishing, canoeing, or exploring estate sales, he embraced life’s simple joys. He really had an insatiable curiosity for exploring new places.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Judith Ann Schulz; his parents, Herbert and Emma Schulz; brother and sister, Glen Schulz and Sharon Waldeck; half-brother Kenneth Schulz and half-sister Lorraine Vanderlip . Bob’s legacy lives on in his four devoted sons: Chris (Heather) Schulz, Robbie (Beverly) Schulz, Andy (Wendy) Schulz, and Terry (Cindy) Schulz; his grandchildren: Zach (Stevie) Schulz, Amber (James) Craven, Jasper Schulz, Ellie Schulz, Cooper Schulz, Theo Schulz, and Mike Schulz; three precious great-grandchildren; and his canine daughter, Storm.

A private family gathering will be held to honor his memory. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a state and/or national park.

Arrangements are entrusted to Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, Tn. 37415, 423 877-3524, lanefh.com.
