Surrounded by the warmth of her loved ones, Georgia Ann Todd passed away peacefully on February 10, 2025, in Apison, Tennessee.

Born on Nov. 23, 1948, in Athens, Tn., she spent her life being a devoted mother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend. However, the title she most enjoyed was Mamaw. She touched the hearts of everyone she met by her kind gestures and willingness to help others.

She had an unwavering dedication to her family and faith. She wanted everyone to know Jesus and had a genuine servant's heart. She found true joy and peace from taking care of others' needs. She cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. Family gatherings in her home were always celebrated and they were something that she truly loved.

She is survived by her husband, James Todd; her children, Mark (Tara) Wade, Stacey (Laura) Wade, Leslie (Sean) Turner, Emily (Michael) Laymon, Ashley (Joey) Yates, and 11 grandchildren; her sister, Faye (Pat) Byrum, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mildred Kelsey.

Her spirit will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her. As we mourn her passing we also celebrate the beautiful life she led—a life filled with love, faith, and cherished memories.

Visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Wednesday, Feb. 12, from 4-7 p.m. The funeral service will be the following afternoon on Thursday, Feb. 13, at 12 p.m. The burial will follow the service at Plowman Cemetery 11110 Old E Brainerd Road, Apison, Tn. 37302.
