Differences Between A Bar And Today's Church

  • Sunday, February 16, 2025

What is the difference between a bar and today’s church? If you go to a bar on Saturday night and today’s church on Sunday, is there a difference?

You can dress the same in either place, including short shorts for women, flip flops, pajamas (though you probably couldn’t get in a bar with pajamas on). You can eat or drink in a bar and today in a sanctuary. You get loud music with dim lighting in both places (though the music in a church is usually louder).

Both give you their own gospel of sugar-coded love. Both have people you like associating with. The bartender, unless it is a high class bar, dresses in jeans, T-shirt or a sport shirt, as do most pastors in a church. They both have earrings.

The difference is alcohol and by the time this is printed alcohol will probably be allowed.
