Voices of Lee
Scenic City Women’s Network announces the Voices of Lee as special entertainment at the 2025 Praise! Breakfast, March 27, 7 a.m. at the Chattanooga Convention Center, 1 Carter Plaza.
According to the website, “The Voices of Lee is a 15 member a cappella ensemble from Lee University in Cleveland. Founded September 1994, the President of Lee University Dr. Paul Conn wanted to make a new
group to represent the university. Excellence in harmony, spirit and performance depicts the lush musical style of The Voices of Lee.
Since their debut in September '94, their intense musical focus has captivated audiences worldwide.”
Shari Rigby, Christian actress, author and director will be the keynote speaker for the event.
June Scobee Rodgers is the 2025 Lydia Award Winner.
About Shari Rigby
Shari Rigby, a multifaceted talent recognized for her impactful contributions to faith and family inspirational entertainment. Best known for her compelling performances in Overcomer, October Baby, Not Today, Wildflower, and The Least of These, Shari is a leading figure in faith-based cinema. Her journey from accomplished actress to adept director has earned her a reputation as an actor’s director, marked by a strong background of well-crafted screen performances.
Shari recently starred in and directed County Rescue, Season Two, streaming on Great American Family and Great American Pure Flix. Along with the award-winning feature film Divine Influencer, starring Lara Silva from The Chosen, as well as teen girl film Identity Crisis. She played a pivotal role in directing scenes for Overcomer and the Kendrick Brothers film LifeMark. Additionally, Shari has made significant contributions to television, serving as an executive producer, director, and writer for 20 episodes of the
Dream Center Los Angeles series on Daystar.
Currently, Shari and her creative partner, Claire Yorita Lee, run Beautifully Flawed Productions and have multiple projects for film and television in various stages of development. Shari and Claire also co-wrote the online devotional for the re-release of FOX’s The Passion of the Christ and co-wrote Shari’s autobiography, Beautifully Flawed, published in March 2015. Her latest release, Consider the Lilies: 40-Day Devotional: Find Purpose In An Ever-Changing Culture, hit the shelves and audio in April 2022.
Shari has spent the last several decades following God's mandate to minister to His women. She formed The Women In My World in 2010, and it gained non-profit status in 2021 due to the need to financially support Christian women with educational resources, focusing on mentoring, discipling, and cultivating women of faith to influence culture by using their talents and gifts to create God-honoring content in entertainment, media, and business. Shari Rigby’s unwavering faith and commitment to family shine
through in every aspect of her life. Celebrating 27 years of marriage with her husband, Matt, they joyfully raised two boys together.
About June Scobee Rodgers
June Scobee Rodgers is the founding chair of the Challenger Center and the widow of Challenger Space Shuttle Commander Richard “Dick” Scobee. June has dedicated her time and energy to continuing the crew’s educational mission. She founded the Challenger Center for Space Science Education to foster a new generation of “star challengers” – young people who will reach for the stars no matter their circumstances. Today, the Challenger Learning Centers around the globe engage hundreds of thousands of students and tens of thousands of teachers in dynamic, hands-on exploration and discovery opportunities that strengthen their knowledge in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
An active and prominent leader in education, June holds a Ph.D from Texas A&M University and an honorary doctor of science degree from the University of Leicester, England. She has been a classroom teacher and university professor, served as a consultant to local, state and federal education agencies, and become a nationally recognized advocate for the advancement of science and math education.
While best known for her tireless efforts on behalf of Challenger Center, June has also gained attention for her work as an author. “Silver Linings: My Life Before and After the Challenger 7” is the expanded story of her book, “Silver Linings: Triumph of the Challenger 7” that was first published in 1996. It is a coming-of-age story that deals with issues like personal triumph and dreams to soar above it. June has been nationally recognized and honored with countless awards during her professional career, including:
