Joseph “Joe” Webb
Joseph “Joe” Webb was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on March 6, 1949. He was born to the late Mildred B. Stone and the late Columbus Webb. He accepted Christ at an early age.
He received his education from the Hamilton County Public Schools and graduated from Riverside High School in 1968. He enlisted in the army and served for ten years. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Covenant College. Joe retired from the Tennessee Department of Transportation after many years of faithful service and dedication.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, the late Columbus Webb, the late Mildred B. Stone, brothers Harvey L. Webb, Sr, Claude Johnson, and sister Sharon L. Moore.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Martin Joseph Webb of Chattanooga, Rebecca Webb of Madison, Wi., and Myesha Webb of Portland, Or., brother, Larry L. Webb, of Chattanooga, sisters, Saundra (William) Woods of Vancouver Washington, Barbara D. Peek and Debra Campbell of Chattanooga, Aunt Charlie B. Kinsey of Chattanooga, grandchildren, Christian Webb, Chase Webb, Chance Webb, Carter Webb, Endika Webb, Zipirah Webb, Byron Webb, and great grandson Amari Webb; and special cousins, William and Pauline Craig.
Public viewing will begin at 9 a.m., followed by the funeral service at noon on Wednesday, March 5, in the chapel of the John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., Chattanooga, 423 622-9995.
Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery, with a gate time of 1:30 p.m.
