Martha Carter
Martha Carter, 89, of Falling Water, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 23, 2025, at her residence.
She was a graduate of Red Bank High School. Martha retired from the Chattanooga Hamilton County Federal Teachers Credit Union where she was the mortgage officer.
She was the oldest living member of Falling Water Baptist Church and was a member of the Gleaners Class.
Martha was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lamar Carter, Sr.
She will be remembered with much love from her son, Lamar Jr and his wife Sheri, her granddaughter Brooke and husband Cody and the most loved by her great-granddaughter Annabelle.
Her family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, June 2, and on Tuesday, from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Home on Hixson Pike. Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 12 p.m. with Rev. Tommy Taylor and Rev. Brandon Carder officiating. Burial will follow at the National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hamilton County Humane Society, Martha loved all animals, her husband used to say, “I believe you love these dogs and cats more than you do me.
