Review for The Last Revel:
A dynamic folk quartet of talented young musicians from Minneapolis, The Last Revel is known for their captivating performances and multi-instrumental prowess blending folk, old-time string music and indie rock. The band consists of Lee Henke, Ryan Acker, Vincendzio Donatelle and Lauren Anderson, bringing a full spectrum of modern Americana to life with lush four-part harmonies and acoustic instrumentation that resonates deeply with their audiences.
The Last Revel is supporting Trampled by Turtles and the Infamous Stringdusters this year, and have made recent festival plays at Bourbon & Beyond, Merlefest, Rhythm & Roots, and more. They have a new recording coming this summer on Thirty Tigers, produced by Dave Simonett of Trampled by Turtles.
Review for Pan-O-Ram Clbu
Opening the show at 7 p.m. is local band, the Pan-O-Ram Club, self described as a group of friends who love to sing harmonies and play original tunes and eclectic covers. Consisting of singer, pianist Kathy Veazey, singer and guitarist John Rawlston, bassist and producer Dan Myers, and singer and percussionist Kathy Webb Myers— all the members of this band are songwriters and have been performing with various bands in Chattanooga for years, honing their craft. Audiences are loving the harmony vocals, solid musicianship, original songs, and new arrangements of multifarious Americana that are springing up from this collaboration.
This week’s performances will be on the Miller Plaza stage, where the remaining concerts of the season will be held, culminating in a special July 4 finale. Just across the street, Miller Park will be activated with games, artisan booths, and shaded areas for gathering and picnicking, creating an inviting, festive environment downtown.
