There Should Not Be A Reward For Doing Things Wrong

  • Tuesday, March 11, 2025

All children have a right to education when they are in our country legally. Maybe that’s how the subject line should read.

I get it, it’s not the child’s fault that their parent(s) made the poor choice to come here in violation of our laws. Unfortunately there just have to be consequences to actions and in this case that should mean if they cannot produce identifying evidence of legal status then they should not be in our schools.

Children in our schools are costing the taxpayers a lot of money. That cost should be reserved for legal citizens or those who have gone through the process of coming here legally.

In recent days the U.S. government has changed the CVP1 AP to allow those here illegally to sign up to self deport. This process will allow them to come back legally. This is a great incentive for those here illegally to leave but have the option to return.

I’m all for education and teaching our children, however let’s stop teaching them there’s reward for doing things the wrong way.
