Lynne Gilbert Lindsay
Lynne Gilbert Lindsay, 79, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025.
Lynne was born in Washington, DC, on Nov. 21, 1945, the daughter of the late Tyler Gilbert and Mary Morris Gilbert. She was an amateur golfer and played club basketball at Western Michigan University. Wearing many hats, she was a mother, teacher, salesperson, patriot, and a businesswoman with a strong work ethic and exceptional endurance. She raised her four children in Broadway, NC and made Chattanooga, her home in 2015. Lynne was a member of Calvary Chapel Chattanooga.
Survivors include her four children, Chris Lindsay (Brenda), Darby Parker (Richard), Hunter Lindsay (Vanessa), and Kirby Stancil (Brandon); 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Sandy Frander; and a brother, Charles Gilbert (Alice).
A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, March 29, at 2 p.m. at Heritage Chapel. A private interment will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday from noon until the service hour at Heritage Funeral Home.
