4200 BLK Spriggs Street - Domestic Assault
The caller stated her son had pushed her by her neck and attempted to slap her in the face before she was able to exit the residence. The subject then started to argue with his brother who then was pushed to the side.
Once outside, he proceeded to punch the front door glass which lacerated his hand. The party was transported to receive medical care. Warrants were taken out for Domestic
Assault.
1300 BLK San Hsi - Disorder
Police spoke with the complainant who stated she and her fiancé were having an argument over personal matters but never had gotten physical. According to her stepfather, the fiancé is allowed to live there but was worried because of the situation his wife had heard when she was on the phone with a resident.
3600 BLK Helen Lane – Miscellaneous Complaint
The caller reported her husband had assaulted her while in Chattanooga. She had a visible injury to her shin. Chattanooga Police Department was notified of the incident, and a DCS report was completed regarding four children.
5400 BLK Ringgold Rd.- Traffic Stop/ Arrest
Police conducted a traffic stop on a gray Dodge Ram. Upon checking the driver, he was found to have an active warrant through East Ridge for driving on revoked and a warrant through Hamilton County for failure to pay child support. He was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County jail without incident.
700 BLK Flinn Dr.- Burglary in progress
Police arrived at the above address on reports of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival police spoke with a womann who advised she was getting belongings from her home. Officers checked with Codes Enforcement who advised the party could be at the address to pick up some items.
1300 BLK Spring Creek Rd.- CPR in progress
Police arrived in response to an elderly female who fell and hit her head. Upon arrival, the female was alert and talking but was bleeding from the head. Police were advised by a witness that the female had collapsed and fell onto the concrete. EMS responded to the scene and took the female to the hospital.
6900 BLK Glen Errol Way- Well-being check
Police responded to this address to check on a man at the request of his probation officer. The probation officer advised the subject had not been taking his meds and was threatening to harm himself. Officers spoke with the subject who advised he was not suicidal but was schizophrenic and his meds were not effective. He was taken for an evaluation.
5700 BLK Ringgold Rd.- Unknown Fire
Police responded to this address on reports of a fire. Officers observed smoke billowing out of the business. Police were advised it was diesel smoke, and it was due to a mechanical issue. East Ridge Fire responded to the scene and determined there was no fire.
3600 BLK Ringgold Road – Criminal Trespass
Management reported that a subject had shoplifted from store multiple times in the past few months. The business did not wish to prosecute but requested the suspect to be criminally trespassed from the business.
6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Counterfeit Currency
The caller reported he received a counterfeit $20 bill from the gas station. The store manager provided him with a refund and Police took possession of the counterfeit bill. The origin of the counterfeit money was unknown, and no suspect information was available.
1300 BLK Laredo Avenue – Suspicious Activity
A man reported his brother had driven past his residence several times and believed his brother posed a threat to his family. He further stated their father died a few days ago and the brothers are arguing over the father’s possessions.
6100 BLK Ringgold Rd. – Traffic Stop / Arrest
Following a traffic stop, Police determined that a man had a Revoked Driver’s License for DUI. He was taken into custody, charged with Driving on a Revoked License for DUI and transported to The Hamilton County Jail without incident.
5000 BLK S. Terrace – Unknown Trouble
Police responded to this location after Dispatch received a call stating, “someone is dead”. Police arrived on scene and discovered that a mother had received a group text stating her son-in-law had overdosed. Officers determined the son-in-law lived in Alpharetta, GA and the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office conducted a welfare check with the subject. The son-in-law was found to be in good health and no further investigation was required.
5400 BLK Ringgold Rd – Suspicious Person / Arrest
Police conducted a field interview with a woman after she was in front of a closed business. It was found that she had two Forfeiture Capias warrants out of East Ridge. The original charges were for Criminal Trespassing and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The subject was arrested and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
1700 BLK Prigmore Road – Traffic Stop / Evading
Police initiated a traffic stop with a blue Honda Accord due to a traffic violation. The vehicle stopped and an officer approached the passenger side window to speak with the occupants. The driver made eye contact with the officer and then fled at a high rate of speed southbound towards Georgia. Police checked the area but did not locate the vehicle or driver. Warrants are pending identification of the driver.
941 Spring Creek Road – Wellbeing Check
Police responded to this location following a 911 call from a mother in the ER Waiting Room. The reporting party felt the hospital staff were not helping her daughter who was intoxicated on alcohol and marijuana. The mother became irate with the hospital staff and removed her daughter from the facility in a wheelchair. The mother stated she would take her daughter to a different hospital.
1600 BLK John Ross Road – Traffic Stop / Assist Other Agency
Police attempted a traffic stop with a dark colored sedan on John Ross Road. The vehicle refused to stop and continued driving southbound into Georgia. The vehicle came to an eventual stop on Claire Street and a passenger ran into the nearby wood line. Units from the Walker County Sheriff’s Office and Rossville Police Department responded to the scene along with the ERPD K-9. A perimeter was established, and the suspect was located inside a dumpster with several parcels of illegal drugs. He was also found to have several active warrants in multiple jurisdictions.
Another passenger was found to have drugs in her possession. The Walker County Sherrif’s Office arrested both on drug possessions charges and outstanding warrants. The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody, and a hold was placed on her at the Walker County Jail. An arrest warrant for Evading was secured through the Hamilton County Magistrate.
