Leonor Sermonia Soriano
Leonor Sermonia Soriano, 87, of Harrison, Tennessee, formerly of Cottage Grove, Minnesota, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025 in Ooltewah, Tennessee.
She was born in San Nicolas, Pangasinan, Philippines, where she grew up and loved to sing and dance, and play music. She graduated from Tayug Public High School and went on to the University of Manila, Philippines where she earned a Bachelor of Liberal Arts. She joined her husband Leodegario Soriano in Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN, United States while he finished is PhD studies. She spent her professional career in the United States working in various administrative positions in the University of Minnesota Twin Cities Campuses, eventually retiring as the executive assistant to the Dean of the Medical School.
Leonor was the youngest daughter of Feliciano and Fresca Sermonia. She was preceded in death by her parents, her three brothers and two sisters, and her husband, Leodegario.
She is survived by her son, Ariel (Mary) Soriano and grandson, Lucas Soriano.
Services will be held on Friday, April 4, at St. Jude's Catholic Church, 930 Ashland Terrace in Hixson. Visitation will be at 11 a.m. followed by the church service at 12 p.m.
She will be interred with her husband in their columbarium niche located at Hamilton Memorial Gardens at 1:15 p.m. The family will host a luncheon afterwards for those who want to visit.
