Gerald Lawson, 80, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on March 21, 2025.

Born in Maryville, Tn., Gerald lived a life devoted to faith, family, and service. He found great joy serving as lay eucharistic minister and led many at-home bible studies.

A proud retiree from the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), Gerald worked there for many years before retiring in 2000. After his retirement, he continued to give back to his community, volunteering at HaCoba Care Ministry in 2002, where he later became volunteer director. His caring nature and commitment to others were deeply appreciated.

In addition to his work and volunteerism, Gerald had a passion for refinishing furniture and took great pride in his yard work. He was also a loving companion to his dogs, Charlie and BooBear, who brought him much joy.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Iva Lawson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Rhonda Lawson, and their cherished fur babies, Charlie and BooBear.

Gerald will be remembered for his kindness, strong faith, and dedication to his family and community.
