Linda Holder Rous
Linda Holder Rous, 75, of Hixson, was called home to be with the Lord Saturday, March 29, 2025.
She was born to the late Carroll and Margaruite Holder on July 2, 1949. Linda was a 1967 graduate of Hixson High School. She married Rick Rous on Sept. 14, 1968, and went on to have two sons. Linda spent over 20 years working for Red Food/Bi-Lo. She was a member of Central Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher. Linda was an avid reader and loved to cook. She did not let anyone leave her house hungry. Linda was known for her kind soul and always put others before herself. She would drop everything and cook meals for anyone in need or ill. Above everything else, Linda loved her family.
Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Margaruite Holder; father, Carroll Holder; brother, James R. Holder; brother-in-law, Edgar Emens; and father and mother-in-law, Tom and Eloise Rous.
Survivors include her husband, Rick Rous; sons, Tommy Rous and Jimmy (Michelle) Rous; grandchildren, Lyla Quick and Penny Quick; sisters, Diane Emens and Michelle (Kyle) Mitchell; nieces, Stephanie (David) Bradford and Sherry Gaither; nephew, Hank Mitchell; great-nephew, Hunter Bradford; grand-dog, Daisy Mae Rous; and a host of extended family and friends.

A visitation for Linda will be held on Sunday, April 6, from 6-8 p.m. at North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153 Hixson, Tn. 37343. On Monday, April 7, a visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
A funeral service will follow the visitation starting at 12:30 p.m.. The family will then proceed to Chattanooga National Cemetery for the 2 p.m. committal, at 1200 Bailey Ave., Chattanooga, Tn. 37404.
