The Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences Rock Climbing Team has once again proven their strength and determination, dominating the district in both the middle school and high school competitions. Both teams emerged as district champions, an achievement that reflects the depth of talent and dedication across all age levels at CSAS.
The middle school team’s championship victory is a testament to the climbers’ hard work, discipline, and team spirit.
With impressive displays of strength, strategy, and resilience, the team earned their title through sheer grit and outstanding performance.
On the high school side, the climbers not only clinched the District Championship title but also showcased their individual prowess, securing two of the top three spots in the individual competition. With CSAS athletes capturing 1st (Ryan Wilson), 3rd (Dean Williamson), and 4th place (Ryan Templeton), the team demonstrated exceptional technique, composure, and competitive edge. Their success highlights the growing talent at CSAS and cements their reputation as one of the district's powerhouse programs.
“While I've enjoyed coaching all of our climbing teams the past 12 years, the 2024/25 teams have been the most focused, hardworking, and fun group of athletes that I've ever coached. It was so nice to see their dedication to their craft, and especially to maintaining impeccable sportsmanship, rewarded with perfect seasons,” Ron Nance, CSAS Rock Climbing Team Head Coach.
