Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences (CSAS) is proud to announce the hiring of Kayla Wilson as the new head coach of the varsity girls’ basketball team. Wilson brings passion and leadership to the program, aiming to build on the school’s tradition of excellence both on and off the court.
“We are thrilled to announce Coach Wilson as the next girls’ basketball coach,” said Principal Robert Alford. “Her dedication to the young women in our program, strong leadership skills, and commitment to fostering a competitive and positive team culture make her the perfect fit for our program.”
Wilson, served as assistant coach the last two seasons, after a successful stint as the head middle school coach. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes fundamentals, teamwork, and character building, ensuring her players grow as athletes and individuals.
“I am incredibly excited to be the head girls’ basketball coach at CSAS and lead this group of young athletes,” said Wilson. “My goal is to create a program that emphasizes hard work, discipline, and a love for the game while preparing our players for success both on and off the court.”
Wilson will begin her role immediately, with off-season training and preparation already underway for the upcoming season. The CSAS community looks forward to an exciting new chapter for the varsity girls’ basketball team under her leadership.
