Jacqueline Antoinette Johnson, 43, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on April 17, 2025.

Born and raised in Chattanooga, Jacqueline was a shining light whose strength, love, and presence left a lasting impact on all who had the blessing of knowing her.

She worked with excellence and grace as an expert correspondent at Blue Cross Blue Shield, where her dedication and professionalism were deeply valued. Outside of work, Jacqueline was a woman of creativity and passion. She enjoyed making handcrafted wreaths, decorating with style and warmth, and expressing herself through her artistic touch. Her love for cars and enthusiasm for car shows brought her joy and adventure.

Jacqueline also loved running and staying active, often finding peace and power through her workouts. She had a deep love for dogs and found comfort, laughter, and companionship in their loyal presence. Her gentle nature and warm spirit made her a favorite among furry friends and a natural caregiver to any dog she met.

She was fearless in everything she did—never afraid to try something new and always determined to achieve her goals. Her strength and perseverance inspired those around her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Lamuel Johnson; her son, George Graves IV; her stepchildren, Lamuel Johnson Jr. and LaDaisha Johnson; and her step-grandchildren, Kalyn Middlebrooks and Kaiden Middlebrooks. She is also survived by her mother, Rose Veals Cooper, and father, Sanders Cooper.

Jacqueline also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory and the love she shared so freely.

She’s intelligent.
She’s brave.
She’s feisty.
She carries a strength within her and a light no one can ever put out.
She is our Jackie—a wife, a mother, a daughter, and a true friend.

As we honor Jacqueline’s life, we hold onto the comfort of Isaiah 40:31:
“But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”

Her legacy of love, strength, and fearless purpose will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.

Public viewing will be held from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Monday, April 28, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m.
