Mocs Golfers Fifth At SoCon Championships

 The Chattanooga Mocs are in fifth through 36 holes of the Southern Conference Championships in Lake Oconee Village, Ga. Monday’s round was a level-par 288 for a 2-day total of 573, 3-under par.

Camden Braidech and Braedon Wear were the individual leaders. The pair turned in twin 70s which were three better than Ethan Whitaker’s 73. Dalton Chuba was next with 75 as Garrett Engle had the drop at 76.

Engle leads the group at 2 under for the two days. He’s tied for 11th, one clear of Braidech and Wear in 15th with 1-under 143s.
Whitaker sits at 147 which a stroke ahead of Chuba’s 148.

UNCG and ETSU are tied for first with matching 862 totals. Western Carolina is four behind at 566 ahead of Furman in fourth at 568. The Mocs are fifth ahead of sixth-place Samford’ 577. Wofford is next at 580 with Mercer close behind at 581.
