History was made once again as a Skyuka Hall athlete won first place in the TSSAA State Championship Track and Field event in Murfreesboro this week. With a vault of 14 feet, 4 inches, a new personal record, Logan Smith took home first place in Division II-A.

Just last week, Smith signed a letter of intent to attend Carson-Newman University on an athletic scholarship — the first ever offered to a Skyuka Hall athlete. Skyuka Hall, a K-12 Independent School, has a total of just under 130 students. Track and Field is currently the only sport offered.

In making the announcement on social media, Head of School Dr. Josh Yother - who was present at the track meet - posted, “Logan, you are truly #1!!! Thank you for making this special moment for our school and for pioneering the bar for the generations of Wolf Pack coming behind you.”
