DeLynn Cavin Hood passed away on May 4, 2025, in Carlsbad, California at the age of 71.
She was preceded in death by her father Thomas N. Cavin, grandparents, Otis and Maggie O’Dell, and Ernest and Minnie Lee Holland.
She is survived by her son, Michael Chad Hood and her mother, Virginia O’Dell Cavin, both of Chattanooga, and brother, Barry Cavin and nephew Emory Cavin of Fort Myers, Fl.
While living in Chattanooga, DeLynn was employed at Newton Chevrolet. She was a former member of Lookout Valley Baptist Church. DeLynn loved being near the water, whether it was the ocean, lake or river. She enjoyed gardening and was enthusiastic about entertaining and hosting family and friend gatherings.
A memorial service will be held on June 14 at 1 p.m. at Lookout Valley Baptist Church, Chattanooga, officiated by Darrell Smith.
