Loved His Family Deeply

Baldemar Garcia Jaramillo, 31, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life on Tuesday evening, June 10, 2025. Baldemar was born May 21, 1994, in Marlin, Texas.

Baldemar loved his family deeply and had a special devotion to his children, Kristian Armani Jaramillo and Karina Joliette Jaramillo. He was looking forward to a fresh start and a new chapter in life with his children, his mother, siblings, and extended family. In recent years, Baldemar was actively working to turn his life around and had expressed hope and excitement for what the future held. His unexpected passing just as he neared release from incarceration has left many questions and a deep sense of loss.

As a child, he attended Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church and was formerly employed at Flex Star Inc.

He is survived by his beloved children and their mother, Erika Rodriguez; his parents, Florentina and Benny Silva; sisters, Abigail Jaramillo and Manuel Perez, Gisselle Silva and Chad Lopez, Lori Silva, and Laura Silva; brother, Nino Silva; his uncle and godfather, Jesus Garcia; aunt, Maricela Garcia, all of Dalton, GA; grandmother, Maria Hernandez of Guerrero, Mexico; and many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Trini Garcia and a niece, Lynady Silva-Lopez.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 17, at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Refugio Onate Melendez officiating. Baldemar will be laid to rest at Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens, with Kristian Jaramillo, Giovanni Rico, Nino Silva, Jesus Garcia, Chad Lopez, Daniel Garcia, Gerardo Garcia, and Manuel Perez honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5-9 p.m. on Monday and again after 10 a.m. on Tuesday until the hour of service. A Rosary will be held Monday at 7 p.m.
