Davis, Kevin Lee

Known For His Contagious Smile And Quick Wit

  • Monday, June 30, 2025
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Kevin Lee Davis, a beloved father, son, brother, and friend. We will forever hold him in our hearts. He was a man of great humor and a deep love for his children and family.

Kevin was born on Oct. 2, 1979, in Chattanooga. He attended Central High School. Throughout his life, he was known for his contagious smile, quick wit, and the way he could light up any room with his presence. Beneath his struggles was a caring soul who loved his family and friends deeply. His love was loud, strong, and bold.

He enjoyed playing baseball I. His younger years, spending time with his kids, listening to music, being outdoors, engaging in community, and using his many gifts in craftsmanship. Kevin was a man of many trades and skills.

While his life was not without hardship, we remember him most for his compassion, strength, and the moments of joy we all shared together. His passing reminds us of the importance of lifting one another up, speaking life, and fighting for the ones we love—no matter the circumstances. It’s not always easy. Mental illness is complex and often misunderstood. But the battle is real, and our compassion must be too. There is great power in loving others through their pain—even when we don’t fully understand it.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Chuck Davis, and grandparents, Dude and Meta Hood. He is survived by his mother, Sharon Davis; children, Channing (Brandon), Maggie, and Kolbi; granddaughter, Poppy; brother, Keith Davis (Amy); his dog, Juice; and bonus boys, Jai’Kairyion, Jai’Anthony, Jachym, and Jarek.

A memorial service will be held at New Bethel Baptist Church on Saturday, July 12, at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, please send all proceeds to the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation (BBRF). One hundred percent of donations go directly to scientific research grants.
