David William Lemon, a devoted husband, father, and man of faith passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on July 20, 2025, in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

David was a Chattanooga native for over 20 years. He lived a life marked by deep faith, unwavering love for his family, and a passion for simple joys of life. He was the beloved husband of Susan Lemon, a proud father to Danielle Walraven (Zach, Olivia) and Alex Taylor (Andrew), and brother to Gerri Lowe (Paul) whom he cherished with all his heart.

David’s faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of his life. He carried that faith into every role he held – as a father, husband, friend, brother, neighbor, and local realtor for Berkshire Hathaway. He loved working with people finding their dream home and always treated each client as family. Known for his kind heart, steady spirit, and sense of humor, David left a lasting impression on everyone blessed to know him.

He found joy in the outdoors, especially camping and casting a line on a quite morning. A lifelong LSU Tigers fan, he rarely missed a game and could often be found cheering from his favorite recliner in purple and gold. David’s legacy is one of love, faith, and strength. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, July 26, at 2 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, East Brainerd Chapel with Rev. John David Stewart officiating.

Friends and family will be greeted immediately following the celebration of David’s life.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in David’s honor to The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga. 200 Central Ave. Chattanooga, Tn. 37403. https://secure.qgiv.com/for/davidlemonmemorial/
