The J.A. Henry Community YMCA Summer Open House will be on Thursday, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The YMCA has invited neighbors, families and friends to come together for an evening of connection, food and fun.
The free event will include guided tours of the newly-renovated facility, live cooking demonstrations, a hands-on service project and a complimentary cookout dinner.
Established in 1902, the J.A. Henry YMCA has a longstanding legacy of service, education and impact in Chattanooga. Now located on Dodds Avenue, the branch continues to serve as a hub for wellness, youth development, food access and community support. The branch provides children with the nutrition they need for good health and full potential.
In 2024, the J.A. Henry YMCA’s youth food program delivered 300,000 free healthy meals to kids at 80 locations across the region. This summer, the branch has prepared, packaged and delivered 90,000 meals in June alone, an increase over prior summers.
Registration for the open house event is strongly encouraged, and all are welcome to attend. Friends, families and neighbors can stop by, meet the team and enjoy a fun-filled evening at the Y.
The Y is at 3500 Dodds Ave., Ste. 108, Chattanooga, Tn. 37407.
