After a frustrating week offensively for the Chattanooga Lookouts the bats finally broke out on Saturday night as they clubbed the division leading Birmingham Barons by a score of 9-3.
Four hitters had multiple hit games in the ten hit, eight walk performance for Chattanooga. Ruben Ibarra hit his 13th homer of the season in the fourth inning with two runners on. Ibarra went 2-5 and had the three runs batted in on the night. Jay Allen II, Edwin Arroyo, and Austin Callahan each added two hits apiece as well with Callahan scoring three of the nine runs.
On the mound Brandon Komar had an outstanding start going four and a third scoreless innings to lower his earned run average to 4.42 for the year. Drew Parrish picked up his first victory on the season with two and two thirds innings of work. He allowed only one hit and no runs came across. He moves to 1-2 on the year.
Chattanooga looks to win their third straight in the series finale on Sunday afternoon at 5 p.m. est.
