Jane Plumlee
Rosa Jane Talbott Plumlee, 92, native of Maryville and lifelong resident of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025, at Solomon's House, surrounded by her family who loved and adored her.
Jane was a retired nurse with Associates of Internal Medicine working with Dr. Clifton Cleaveland for over 35 years, her compassion for taking care of others was always evident. She was always involved at Ridgedale Baptist Church in the children's ministry and loved her gospel music. She spent many hours watching every sport or event her children participated in.
Jane was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years George Plumlee along with her parents, Charles and Myrtice Talbott. Jane was the last remaining sibling of the Talbott family, preceded by Kenneth Talbott, Edna Kidd, Ben Talbott, Hoyt Talbott, Louise Everett, Grace Early and Barbara Burns.
Jane was survived by her four children that she was very proud of: Debbie (Jim) McNamara of Hilton Head Island, SC, Doug (Pam) Plumlee of Chattanooga, Tal (Sonja) Plumlee of Cross Plains, Tn., and Steve (LeAnn) Plumlee of Chattanooga. Jane also loved spending time with her 13 grandchildren, Bryant (Kati) Plumlee, Morgan (John Ghyzel) Plumlee, Garret Plumlee, Andrew Plumlee, Lauren (Brandon) Paige, Hannah Plumlee, Nicole McNamara, Victoria (Domenic) Bisceglio, Meaghan (Fiance' Peter Stringfellow) McNamara, Emma McNamara, Riley Bellamy, Charlee Bellamy and Sophie Plumlee. As everyone knows, Jane loved babies and loved spending time with her two great grandchildren, Parker Paige & Eleanor Plumlee. Jane was also loved by many nieces and nephews along with her special friends Annette Fannin, Linda Sims and Shirley Jeffers.
A special thanks to the caregivers at Morning Pointe as well as Solomon's House who provided amazing care of our Mom over the last few years.
