Friday, August 1st,
Collegedale officers assisted HCSO with an assault that took place in the 4200 block of Green Acres Drive. The victims had left the scene and were located near Bill Reed Road and Ooltewah-Ringgold Road. Officers also responded to the original scene.
A lost property report was made at the police department in the 4900 block of Swinyar Drive. A citizen reported leaving military-style glasses on the phone booth in front of City Hall.
A black Jeep was reported as abandoned in the 9600 block of Wiltshire Drive, where it had been parked for over two months.
Contact was made with a resident who stated the owner would retrieve the vehicle soon.
A citizen came to the station to report a phone scam. The caller claimed to be from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office and said the individual had missed jury duty. No money was sent, but personal information had been given.
Officers were dispatched to an unknown 911 call in the 9600 block of Collier Place. Dispatch canceled the call before arrival.
A crash with injuries occurred in the 9300 block of Lee Highway. One vehicle made contact with the side of another vehicle, and one individual was transported for evaluation.
A suspicious person was reported in the 5500 block of Little Debbie Parkway. Officers checked the area, but no one matching the description was located.
An alarm was activated in the 5200 block of Apison Villas Circle. Contact was made with a resident, and everything was found to be in order.
Suspicious activity was reported in the 5900 block of Main Street. An employee expressed concern about walking to their vehicle. Officers spoke with an individual seeking shelter from the rain and verified there were no active warrants.
A disturbance was reported in the 8800 block of Jen Rue Lane. The reporting party alleged that neighbors made threats, but the account changed repeatedly. Officers advised securing the residence and patrolled the area. Another call from the same address in the 8800 block of Jen Rue Lane involved a mental health concern. The individual agreed to be transported for an evaluation.
An unknown 911 call came from the 5500 block of Little Debbie Parkway. Officers checked the area and found no signs of distress.
While on patrol in the 4800 block of College Drive East, officers located an individual asleep in a vehicle. The individual stated they were temporarily staying in the car following a disagreement.
A tree fell in the area of Moore Road and Bowen Trail, bringing down power lines and damaging a transformer. EPB responded and took over the scene.
Officers conducted a well-being check on a resident at a care facility in the 9200 block of Apison Pike after a 911 call was made referencing a lost phone and unrelated concerns. The resident was found to be okay.
Saturday, August 2nd
A suspicious activity call was made from the 4500 block of Turkey Ridge Trail. A resident noticed a car trunk and a garage door open. Officers made contact with a home health nurse on scene and confirmed everything was okay.
Bradley County advised they had an individual in custody with an active warrant. The warrant was verified and faxed to the jail for service.
An unknown 911 call came from the 5100 block of Lynda Valley Lane. Officers responded and checked the area. No issues were found.
A theft was reported at a business in the 5500 block of Little Debbie Parkway. Loss prevention staff detained an individual for skip-scanning a steak. The individual was issued a misdemeanor citation.
A car seat inspection was conducted at the police department. Officers provided instruction to new parents on proper installation.
An individual was transported from Bradley County to Silverdale for active Collegedale warrants.
A disturbance occurred in the 5200 block of Kellogg Creek. A caller reported a former partner banging on the door. Officers located the individual and issued a trespass warning.
A suspicious person was reported near the 4900 block of College Drive East. A resident observed someone approaching a vacant property. Officers checked the area but did not locate anyone.
Officers assisted with a vehicle issue in the 5600 block of Little Debbie Parkway. A Burger King employee’s car battery was dead and was successfully boosted.
Suspicious activity was reported near Lee Highway and Edgmon Road. A vehicle had driven through a construction site. Tire tracks were found, but no damage was observed.
An unknown 911 call was received from the 5500 block of Tallant Road. Officers checked the area, and no one was found.
While conducting business checks, officers discovered an open door in the 9400 block of Apison Pike. It was determined to be an electrical room door, which was then secured.
Sunday, August 3rd
A crash with injuries occurred in the 5900 block of Main Street. One vehicle sustained left-center damage, and the other had front bumper damage.
Officers responded to the 9100 block of Integra Preserve Court for a domestic assault. The victim had visible injuries and stated the suspect caused them. The suspect was arrested and transported to jail.
Officers responded to a welfare check in the 5500 block of Tallant Road after a juvenile was seen walking in the roadway with visible bruises. After an investigation, DCS responded and ensured the juveniles were safe.
A property damage call was made from the 5300 block of Collegeview Drive. The caller believed their vehicle was vandalized, but was later informed by neighbors that a tree limb had fallen on the car. The caller declined to make a report.
A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 5700 block of Sunup Circle. A black SUV had been idling in the neighborhood. Officers arrived, but the vehicle was gone on arrival.
Further investigation occurred at the 5500 block of Tallant Road after DCS requested follow-up on threats involving a known gang-affiliated subject.
A debit card found earlier at Imagination Station was turned in by a citizen. After no one claimed it, the card was submitted to the property room.
