Daniel “Danny” Mattheiss, went to heaven to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
He loved Jesus, his family, cars, boating and skiing, and mowing his and other’s lawns. He had a heart of gold, always made everyone laugh and was the entertainment everywhere he went. He will be greatly missed, but is in such a better place. There is great peace in knowing that we will one day be with him again.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Jane Mattheiss, his daughters Lori Price and Amy Coffelt, granddaughters Samantha Williams, Abigail Glenn and Morgan Saunders, and six great- grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, Aug. 15, at Eastwood Church, 4300 Ooltewah-Ringgold Road, Collegedale, Tn. 37363. The doors will open at 10 a.m. for friends and family to visit, with the service starting at 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the research of Parkinson’s through the Michael J. Fox Foundation in honor of Danny’s youngest brother, Tim Mattheiss, who is valiantly battling this disease.
