Public Works Prioritizes Flood-Affected Areas For Brush Collection

  • Wednesday, August 13, 2025

In response to recent flooding, the City of Chattanooga's Department of Public Works, Solid Waste Division, is prioritizing brush collection in the most impacted areas. This proactive measure aims to mitigate further flooding risks by clearing debris that can obstruct drainage systems. Crews will be working these affected areas starting today, August 13th through Saturday, August 16th. Brush and bulk trash collection will resume its normal on demand services Monday, August 18th.

Residents can continue to submit requests for brush and bulk trash collection; however, please anticipate potential delays as our crews focus on flood-related brush removal.
