Juvenile Struck By Reckless Driver - And Other Collegedale Police Calls

In the 5600 block of Little Debbie Parkway, a juvenile ran across a parking lot and was struck by a vehicle. The driver was cited for reckless driving and failure to yield to a pedestrian.

While heading home from shift, officers stopped in the 600 block of I-75 Southbound to assist a vehicle that had blown a tire in the fast lane. They remained until TDOT arrived.

In the 5000 block of University Drive, a corporate license plate mailed from an office on July 29, was reported lost.

In the 5900 block of Elementary Way, two suspects entered a store and left without paying for multiple items. One suspect has been identified, and the investigation is ongoing.

In the 5500 block of Little Debbie Parkway, a suspicious person was reported pulling door handles in a parking lot. The area was checked, but nothing was found.

In the 5500 block of Little Debbie Parkway, a minor vehicle collision occurred in a parking lot. Both parties declined a report.

In the 9900 block of Forest Drive, a vehicle reported as abandoned was found to belong to a resident in the area.

In the 9200 block of Apison Pike, a Honda Accord rear-ended a Yukon at a red light.

In the 8800 block of Old Lee Highway, a vehicle’s front bumper made contact with another vehicle’s rear bumper. Both drivers exchanged information. The incident occurred within Chattanooga’s jurisdiction.

In the 5900 block of Main Street, a suspicious person was reported outside a business. Officers made contact and advised the individual to move along.

In the 5000 block of Ooltewah-Ringgold Road, a civil matter was reported between an individual and a former employer. It was determined to be outside city jurisdiction, and the caller was advised to contact the appropriate agency.

In the 10100 block of College Hill Drive, officers responded to a flooding incident at a home with a disabled resident. Fire personnel determined no assistance was needed due to low water levels.

In the 9400 block of Apison Pike, officers shut down one lane of traffic due to deep water across the roadway until signage could be placed.

In the 10300 block of Lee Highway, officers placed signs to warn traffic about standing water in the roadway.

In the 10000 block of Sunny Lane, a caller reported an open door and lights on in a residence. Officers spoke with the homeowner and confirmed everything was fine.
