Betty Lou Walker Alexander
Betty Lou Walker Alexander, 74, of Soddy Daisy, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 10, 2025.
Born on March 26, 1951, she was a lifelong resident of the area. Betty Lou was a dedicated member of Christ Family Church. She retired from Olan Mills.
Betty Lou was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Donald Eugene “Donnie” Alexander, “Her Baby Doll” and he called her “His Sweet Pea”; parents, Gordon Walker and Ethel Patterson Walker; siblings, Willard Griffin, Sr., Charles “Chuckie” Walker, Gordon Edward “Eddie” Walker.
Survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Emily Alexander; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Pemberton (Daniel), Garrett Alexander (Jennifer); great grandson, Jace Alexander and great granddaughter, Alayna Alexander; brother, Jimmy Ray Walker (Pauline); special “sister”, Harriett “Tommie” Bruton; several nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends that she loved with all her heart.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Aug. 14, from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Services will be on Friday, Aug. 15, at 11:30 a.m. at Christ Family Church with Bishop Calvin Nunley officiating. Betty Lou will lie in state from 10-11:30 a.m. before the service at the church. Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
