New And Used Vehicle Sales Drop In June

New vehicle sales in Hamilton County dropped in June from May to 1,364, and used vehicle sales dropped to 4,308, according to figures from the County Clerk's office. That compares to 1,045 new vehicles sold and 4,168 used vehicles sold in June, 2024. Totals for June included 223 new cars and 1,141 new trucks sold. They included 1,640 used cars and 2,668 used trucks sold. more

Lookouts Fall To Barons In Another Pitching Duel

For the third night in a row the Chattanooga Lookouts and Birmingham Barons found themselves in a low scoring pitching duel. On Thursday night the game was scoreless into the eighth inning after Lookouts starter Jared Lyons and reliever Joel Valdez scattered a combined four hits with no runs. Not to be out done, Birmingham starter Shane Murphy went seven scoreless himself before allowing a run in the eighth.
