HES Opens In-House Spay And Neuter Clinic

Humane Educational Society wrapped up their first week of surgeries following the soft opening of their new low-cost spay/neuter clinic to the public. By providing affordable spay and neuter options, HES hopes to decrease the number of unwanted litters, as well as decrease the number of animals that require sheltering and the number of strays in the community. If The John Ross House Has To Move, Let It Go To Cherokee, N.C.

Regarding the Chief John Ross House and whether it should be moved to Oklahoma. If it should be moved why not have it move to Cherokee, N.C. That is the home to the Eastern Band of the Cherokee people where the Trail of Tears began. More people will be able to see it and learn the history of the great Cherokee Nation's struggles imposed by the U.S. government of the time. It will be lost to history in Oklahoma. Lookouts Bullpen Blows Lead Late

The Chattanooga Lookouts got just what they needed from starting pitcher T.J. Sikkema on Thursday night. With the offense scuffling of late Sikkema tossed five strong innings allowing only one run. The offense took advantage with a run scoring hit from Leo Balcazar in the third. He then scored on an Edwin Arroyo single. The score remained 2-1 in the Lookouts favor through seven innings thanks to two scoreless innings of work from Joel Valdez who now sports a 1.55 earned run average. ... more
