Louis Roobin Tepper of Chattanooga died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2002, following an extended illness.
Born in Cordele, Ga., he attended Georgia Tech; served tour of service in the Army; resumed college education at University of Georgia and earned bachelor’s degree. He moved to Chattanooga in 1958 and became an agent for Equitable Insurance in 1963. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anna and William Tepper; a sister, Sara Zitcer; and a son, Daniel.
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Slater Tepper; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Judy Tepper of Rockville, Md.; brother and sisterin-law, Jack and Rene Tepper of Leawood, Kan.; sister, Martell Weil of Silver Spring, Md.; brother-in-law, Herman Zitcer of Washington Township, N.J.; brother and sister-in-law, Bernard and Marilyn Tepper of Chattanooga; sister and brother-inlaw, Margaret and David Winkler of Dalton, Ga.; two grandchildren, Rachel and Alex Tepper of Rockville; nieces; nephews; grandnieces; grandnephews ; great-grandnieces ; and great-grandnephews.
Funeral will be conducted by Rabbi Maynard Hyman at the funeral home on Sunday at 11 a.m.
Burial at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
Services are conducted by the J. Avery Bryan Funeral Home, Chattanooga.
