Dr. Bryant Alan Knittle, DDS, 47, of Sale Creek, died on Monday, August 26, 2002, in a local hospital.
Dr. Knittle was of the Catholic faith. He was a graduate of the McCallie School, Class of 1973, U.T. at Chattanooga, Class of 1977, and U.T. at Memphis, Dental School, Class of 1981. He practiced dentistry in the Hixson area for over 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey Louis and Florence Mears Knittle; brother, Barry Stephen Knittle.
Survivors include his daughters, Laura E. Knittle and Emily M. Knittle, both of Louisville, KY; mother of the children, Barbara K. Roberts of Louisville, Ky; aunt, Geneva Weaver of Dalton, GA, and Companion, Roger L. Patterson of Sale Creek.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Chaplain Ed Snodgrass officiating.
Interment will follow the service in Hamilton Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Hwy. 153.
