The Chattanooga Lookouts three game winning streak was snapped on Thursday evening, falling in extra innings 6 to 5 to the Biloxi Shuckers. It was the fifth one run game in a row for the Lookouts with them winning the past three prior to Thursday.
The Lookouts took a first inning lead on a bases loaded walk and an rbi groundout to go up 2-0. Biloxi retook the lead with runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings. The back and forth continued however as Ruben Ibarra blasted a three run homerun in the bottom of the sixth inning for a 5-4 lead. It was his fifth homerun of the season.
The Shuckers pinch hitter Jheremy Vargas proved to be the late inning difference maker as he singled home the tying run in the eighth inning and then again in the tenth. Brooks Crawford took the loss for the Lookouts and moves to 1-3 on the year.
