  • Saturday, December 27, 2003

On Saturday morning, East Ridge police officers engaged in a vehicle pursuit and then preformed a felony traffic stop in which the driver of the vehicle, Joshua Shadwick, was removed from the vehicle at gunpoint.

He had a 9mm handgun and drug paraphernalia on him, reported police.

It was also discovered that he had a revoked Tennessee driver's license and a warrant through the City of East Ridge.

A search warrant was served on the residence where Shadwick lived, 5309 Lazard Street, where a methamphetamine lab was discovered.

Shadwick's father, Jeffrey Shadwick, and a second male, Johnny Walston, were also at the residence and placed under arrest.

Police described the methamphetamine lab as large in size with several other items related to the manufacturing of methamphetamine located with both males found inside the house.

Fourty-four-year-old Jeffrey Thomas Shadwick was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine for resale, manufacturing methamphetamine, and felony possession of drug paraphernalia.

Twenty-two-year-old Joshua Shadwick was arrested and charged with driving on a revoked drivers license, possession of a firearm with the intent to be armed, show cause, possession of methamphetamine for resale, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, and manufacturing methamphetamine.

Twenty-eight-year-old Johnny Gilbert Walston was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine for resale, manufacturing methamphetamine, and felony possession of drug paraphernalia.

The East Ridge Police Department report they are cracking down on meth labs in the city. This is the latest in a series of search warrants and drug related arrests.
