  • Friday, October 8, 2004

Area band Creek's Bend will be appearing at Peacock Alley in Dalton, Ga., on Thursday, Oct. 28.

Sponsored by Caffeine Addicts, the performance will begin at 7 p.m. and last until 9 p.m.

Creek's Bend plays a variety of bluegrass music ranging from traditional to the more contemporary. Creek's Bend is composed of Ringgold native Matt Evans (vocals, guitar, bass), Tinessa Thompson (vocals, mandolin) of Chattanooga, Georgia Olson (bass), and her husband Kent Olson (vocals, banjo, mandolin) of Hixson.

Creek's Bend has performed at many area venues, including the Mountain Opry in Walden, the Jitterbug Coffee House, and area bluegrass festivals. Their music is characterized by a straight forward style of playing, tight harmonies, and sense of humor.

Caffeine Addicts and six other boutiques are housed by Peacock Alley (Fraker Building) located at 311 S. Hamilton St. in downtown Dalton.
