Henry M. "H" Burk Jr., 71, of Harrison, died on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2005, in a local hospital.
Mr. Burk was loved by all who knew him. He was a native of the area and was active in the former Central Baptist Church of Woodmore. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict.
He was the senior partner in the accounting firm of Burk, Pearlman, Nebben and Huggins and a life member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Laura and Henry M. "Pete" Burk Sr.; son, Kyle Wagner Burk; and a sister, Mary Burk Berrier.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Reba Burk; daughter, Lorrie (Michael) Mason, Chattanooga; son, John (Beth) Burk, Fort Oglethorpe; three grandchildren, Julie, Amy and Valerie Burk; brothers, James R. Burk, William Knox Burk, both of Rossville; and a large and cherished extended family.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Christ United Methodist Church, 8645 East Brainerd Road, with Dr. Dennis Newman and Pastor Jim Hartley officiating.
