Mary Jane Williams, age 76, of Chattanooga, died Friday, March 11, 2005 in a local health care facility.

She was a native and longtime resident of Chattanooga and was of the Nazarene Faith. She was a member of the Westminster Maryland B.P.O.E. #2277 and the League of Women Voters.

She was the widow of the late Alfred Standell Williams, Sr. and was preceded in death by her sister, Delores Johnstal.

She is survived by her children, Sharon Nusbaum; Alfred S. Williams, Jr. of Chattanooga; Valerie Jayne Wood of Finksburg, Maryland; Edwin Saunders Williams, II of Dayton, OH; grandchildren, Heather Jean Nusbaum, Ryan Eugene Nusbaum of Westminster, MD; Jason Eric Nusbaum of Chattanooga; brothers and sisters, Pat Erskine Mabee, Peggy Cottam, Richard K. Mabee, Elaine Mabee, Carolyn Wheeler all of Chattanooga; Catherine Weber of Indiana, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.

There will be no visitation prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Educational Society, Inc., 212 North Highland Park Avenue, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37404.

Arrangements are by Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 404 South Moore Road, Chattanooga, Tennessee.
