Lillian Hale Gentry, 84, of Chattanooga, died on Sunday, March 6, 2005, in Crossville, TN.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Leroy Hale, and her second husband, William Gentry.
She is survived by her daughters, Anita (George) Wilkison, of Chattanooga, and Sandra (Roland) Simeonsson, of Japan; son, Louis "Bud" (Sylvia) Hale, of Crossville; younger sister, Charlyne Grier, of Atlanta; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Lillian had penned the following words in her Bible: "Father, when it is my time, it would be so nice if I could go to sleep and wake up with JESUS, but whatever my lot in life let me in your strength accept it and not fight it. I pray I honor you in all things. Your child, Lillian."
The funeral will be Thursday, at 2 p.m. in the Dodds Avenue chapel of Turner Funeral Home with George Wilkison and Roland Simeonsson officiating.
Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from noon until the service at the funeral home.
